Copper Trout Necklace and Earrings

£120.00
Sold Out

Inspired by Irish folk tales recounting the wisdom and knowledge of sacred Trout and Salmon, often depicted as guardians of holy springs and wells.

These qualities may be attributed to salmon due to their collective inter- generational memory of where they were born; and the great reproductive migration that takes them from the sea, back to the pools where they first came into being.

This necklace and earring set is hand made using traditional metalworking techniques that can be traced to the Bronze Age. Each fish has been hand hammered and cut into form, and the copper wire holding the necklace in place is hand woven.

The beads on the earrings are a mixture of turquoise while the necklace beads are antique, possibly green calcite and are finished with a diamond cut surface.

It is important to note that while this is certainly statement jewellery, I have made sure the metal is lightweight and comfortable on the skin. This artwork is made to be worn!
